A team of fun-runners from Macmillan Cancer Support’s print department and its suppliers has pulled together to raise over £800 for the charity.
The group of five print suppliers (SynYang’s Bob Matchett, and C3 Imaging’s Carol Neville, Danny Austwick, Gordon Border and Paul Sudbury) joined Macmillan production controller Nadeem Masood on the 10km run in
London’s Regent’s Park on Sunday 15 June. Most members of the team managed to cross the finish line after one hour, with the last runner completing the course in two hours. Masood said the money raised by the team (which was dubbed Inspiring Printers) was a great contribution, but emphasised that the run was part of a
wider agenda to raise awareness of the charity.
The group’s participation was aimed at encouraging members of the print industry – and the wider public – to get involved with other Macmillan events and fundraising activities by spreading the word of the charity’s great work throughout professional and social circles, added Masood.
